Faux Freckles

Faux freckles, also known as PMU freckles (permanent makeup freckles), require minimal downtime but do need proper aftercare to ensure optimal healing and results. Here’s what you can expect:

• There’s minimal to no downtime associated with faux freckles.
• The treated area might be slightly red or swollen immediately after the procedure, but this typically subsides within a few hours.
• You might experience some light scabbing, which is completely normal and should flake off naturally within a few days.

Home Care:

• Keep the area clean and dry for the first 24-48 hours.
• Gently cleanse the area with a fragrance-free cleanser after 48 hours. Pat the area dry with a clean, soft cloth. Don’t rub or scrub.
• Apply a healing ointment, as recommended by your technician, for the next 7-10 days. This will help to keep the area moist and prevent scabbing.
• Avoid picking or scratching the treated area. This can disrupt the healing process and lead to loss of colour in the faux freckles.
• Avoid excessive sun exposure for at least 2 weeks after the procedure. Sun exposure can cause the freckles to fade or heal unevenly. Use sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher daily to protect the treated area.
• Avoid swimming, hot tubs, saunas, and other activities that could irritate the treated area for at least 2 weeks.
