Powder Brows

A permanent makeup device is used to apply the powder effect, which is comparable to using a tattoo gun but a lot gentler. Semi-permanent powder brows are that way because they are only applied to the upper dermis layer of the skin. Thousands of tiny dots of pigment are applied to the skin in this process. 

Years ago, cosmetic tattooed eyebrows looked heavy, too dark and un-natural, but over the past few years we have refined the technique so that the eyebrow tattoo is almost undetectable and looks so natural and soft. The powdered eyebrows appear fuller as a result and more defined and you will no longer have to fill in your eyebrows every day. 

Powder brows are ideal for people who already have brows and wish to enhance them and also for people with thin eyebrows or sparse eyebrows that are in need of gap filling or a completely new shape. Powder brow treatment costs an average of $600. However, it might be considerably more costly depending on which PMU specialist you select. You may find it for less than that as well, however, be careful who you select as not all Cosmetic Tattooing is the same and you must do your research as to why they are offering this specialised treatment at a reduced cost. Usually, it is because of the inexperience of the tattooist or cheaper products being used. 

Tip: Be wary of businesses with extremely low prices. It’s usually an indicator that they’re new to the profession or don’t even have a certificate. If you want to guarantee that your eyebrows are done correctly, don’t try to save money by selecting a cheaper artist. We end up removing so many eyebrow tattoos done somewhere else and this ends up costing far more than the actual eyebrow tattoo itself.

Powder brows last a year to eighteen months on average, although how long they last are determined by several factors. That is, for up to 1 year, the colour will remain intense enough for glorious-looking brows. 

The pigment will stay in the skin for a longer period of time than that, but if you don’t get a powder brows touch-up, your brows won’t look as defined after they initially did. They will slowly fade over time.

The first thing anyone thinks of when they hear cosmetic tattoos is the pain level. We say “mostly” pain-free because everyone’s pain threshold is different, but most customers report that powder brow tattoos do not hurt.

We apply a topical anaesthetic, which numbs the area to be tattooed. The numbing cream is applied to the brows before any needling begins, and the artist will wait for it to work, which can take 15 to 20 minutes on average.

Powder brows are extremely non-invasive and cause little to no discomfort.
